About the name Samanta

Behind the Name gives Samantha as a name of uncertain origin, perhaps created as a feminine form of Samuel, with an ending that could come from Greek anthos, 'flower', and records Samanta as the form used in Portuguese, Spanish and Italian. Wiktionary, which dates the name to the seventeenth century in England, considers it probably a feminine form of Samuel, perhaps influenced by Anthea, and cites other suggestions, such as Aramaic šemʿanta, 'listener'. Because the origin itself is uncertain, the name has no established meaning. In the 2022 Census, IBGE recorded 25,489 people named Samanta, with a median age of 26; most were born in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.

It writes the name without the H, closer to Portuguese spelling, and is the most recorded spelling in the group.
