IBGE data
The numbers of people per name come from the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE; the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), Censo Demográfico 2022 and Censo Demográfico 2010, and are credited on each page. The compilations we use to access this data are credited in the methodology.
Sources cited
The sources for meaning and origin cited on the pages belong to their authors and publishers. We summarize what they say in our own words and link to the original source.
