Privacy Policy
We collect as little as possible. This page explains what data is processed when you visit BrazilNames, why, and how to exercise your rights under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (General Data Protection Law, Law No. 13,709/2018).
In short
- No sign-up: The site does not ask for a name, a password or any registration.
- Two statistics tools: Plausible, which uses no cookies, and Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies.
- Favorites on your device: Your favorites and your dark mode choice stay only in your browser.

Visit statistics: Plausible
We count visits with Plausible Analytics, installed on our own server. It does not use cookies and does not store IP addresses. Events are sent through our own domain. We use these aggregated numbers only to learn which pages are read.
Visit statistics: Google Analytics 4
We also use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC. It sets cookies in your browser (_ga and _ga_*, which tell visitors apart and keep the session state) and collects usage data, such as the pages visited, the type of device and the approximate location. According to Google's documentation, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. The script is loaded only after you interact with the page or a few seconds after it loads.
How to opt out of Google Analytics
- Browser settings: You can block or delete cookies, including those from Google Analytics, in your browser settings.
- Google add-on: Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out add-on for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
Favorites and dark mode
The names you save as favorites and your choice between light and dark mode are kept only in your browser's local storage. This data is not sent to us. To delete it, clear the site data in your browser.
If you write to us, we use your address and your message only to reply. We do not send newsletters and we do not pass your address on to third parties.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the technical requests needed to deliver the pages.
Your rights under the LGPD
The LGPD guarantees you, among other rights, the right to confirm whether we process data about you, to access it, to correct it and to request its deletion. To exercise any of these rights, write to contato@brazilnames.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we process data, we will update this page. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
